Sexual Assault Training Program and Compliance Coordinator

A brief description of the role and program. SAFE seeks a qualified individual to work with SAFE’s Human Resources/Staff Training department to assist with the coordination, facilitation, and tracking of all Office of the Attorney General- Sexual Assault Prevention and Crisis Services (OAG-SAPCS) training and continuing education activities. This is a 2 year grant-funded position.

About this position:

  • We need you to fill the role of Sexual Assault Training Program and Compliance Coordinator. This is a FULL TIME, EXEMPT position based out of our Rathgeber Village campus. We will pay you an annual salary of $34,000.00 to $36,000.00, commensurate on experience.

Key Duties:

  • Map out training plans and schedules for three 40-hour Sexual Assault Training Programs per calendar year as well as on-going continuing education opportunities for all SAFE staff and interns providing direct client services for people who have experienced sexual violence.
  • Set up and break down of all training events related to OAG-SAPCS requirements, including room reservations, equipment reservations and set up, printing and assembling materials, and maintaining an accessible, safe, trauma-informed space for participants.
  • Collaborate with internal trainers, subject matter experts, and external trainers to develop and maintain SAFE’s 40-hour Sexual Assault Training Program, while ensuring its integrity and compliance with the OAG-SAPCS requirements for the curricula.
  • Work to identify and develop opportunities to update SAFE’s training delivery methods.
  • Present at the 40-hour Sexual Training Programs as well as at continuing education opportunities throughout the year.
  • Ensure compliance with OAG-SAPCS requirements by documenting, tracking, and auditing all SAFE staff training and continuing education using multiple platforms for data entry and learning management.

Qualifications:

  • Adheres to SAFE Alliance’s Guiding Principles, Mission, Core Competencies and Confidentiality Policy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Human Services, Social Work, Training and Development, or other related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in either staff or volunteer management, including direct volunteer or staff services, volunteer or staff engagement/retention, or human resources. Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred.
  • Knowledge of issues related to gender-based violence, child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence required. Direct service experience with serving survivors of violence preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in training or education, public speaking, and effective communication to small and large groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating written and visual educational materials using the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, or similar.
  • Strong degree of comfort with learning and adapting to new technology and staff database management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Must pass all required criminal history background checks; have a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Must maintain flexibility and show demonstrated ability to take responsibility for a diverse number of projects and complete them in a timely manner with limited supervision.
