Development Associate – Annual Giving

The SAFE Development team seeks a full-time Development Associate – Annual Giving.  This person is responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting a robust giving and engagement program targeting individuals through direct mail, mid-level & leadership giving, and giving circles associated with these groups. This position is responsible for community networking, prospecting, cultivating, public presentations, solicitation, and stewardship for a large portfolio of donors and prospects.

About this position:

  • We need you to fill the role of Development Associate – Annual Giving. This is a full-time exempt position at our Rathgeber Village Campus (4800 Manor Road) with the possibility of hybrid work. We will pay you an annual salary of $43,000 - $45,000 depending on your experience.

Key Duties:

  • Sets and meets Annual Fund activity and financial revenue goals.
  • Supports and Executes an Annual Appeal/”Direct Mail” plan.
  • Support the creation and distribution of outreach materials.
  • Manages a portfolio of current individual donors.
  • Supports and implements an “off the charts” stewardship program.
  • Creates and develops fundraising and stewardship content.
  • Works and supports SAFE events.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field or at least two years’ experience in fundraising or sales preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.
  • Organized, multi-tasker.
  • Strong computer, donor database, and internet skills and competency required.
  • Must have a valid, State of Texas Driver’s License, and at least three (3) consecutive years of driving experience OR one (1) year of driving experience if over 27 years of age and an acceptable driving record. If in possession of an out-of-state license, obtain a State of Texas Driver’s License within 90 days of beginning employment.
  • Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well as a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
