Sexual Assault Training Program & Compliance Coordinator

SAFE seeks a qualified individual to work with SAFE’s Human Resources/Staff Training department to assist with the coordination, facilitation, and tracking of all Office of the Attorney General- Sexual Assault Prevention and Crisis Services (OAG-SAPCS) training and continuing education activities.

About this position:

  • We need you to fill the role of Sexual Assault Program & Compliance Coordinator. This is a full time, exempt position at our (Rathgeber Village Campus - HQ/Remote.) We will pay you an annual salary of , $45,000 - $50,000 year.

Key Duties:

  • Determines and evaluates staff and intern needs and develops new training opportunities.
  • Manages direct services staffs’ registration, participation, and completion of the 40-hour Sexual Assault Training Program (SATP) and subsequent OAG-SAPCS continuing education requirements.
  • Facilitates training and continuing education sessions. The 40-hour SATP is held 6 times annually for volunteers and staff, 3 times during business hours and 3 times during evening hours, in addition to regularly provided continuing education opportunities that meet OAG-SAPCS state requirements. This includes: facility and space logistics, notifications, scheduling of trainers, speakers and interpreters, and some group facilitation.
  • Maintains an ongoing awareness of trends in staff training and continuing education needs.
  • Coordinates training/continuing education (CE), facilitation and presentation of training, and tracking of training/CE records, developing, modifying, or improving existing trainings and materials using technological resources such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Google Suite and web-based data and learning management programs.
  • Cultivates relationships at all levels of the organization when working with various stakeholders and responding to SAFE staff needs.
  • Adheres to SAFE Alliance’s Guiding Principles, Mission, Core Competencies and Confidentiality Policy.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Human Services, Social Work, Training and Development, or other related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in either staff or volunteer management, including direct volunteer services, training, or human resources. Experience in the nonprofit sector preferred.
  • Knowledge of issues related to gender-based violence, child abuse, sexual assault and domestic violence required. Direct service experience with serving survivors of violence preferred.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in training or education, public speaking, and effective communication to small and large groups.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating written and visual educational materials using the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Google Suite or similar.
  • Strong degree of comfort with learning and adapting to new technology and staff database management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and listening skills.
  • Have and maintain a valid Texas driver’s license.
  • Must maintain flexibility and show demonstrated ability to take responsibility for a diverse number of projects and complete them in a timely manner with limited supervision.
  • Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
