what WE need YOU to do for us
We need you to fill the role of SUPPORTIVE HOUSING ADVOCATE. This is a FULL-TIME, SALARIED NON-EXEMPT position. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for outreach, intake, assessment, and creation of a service plan with participants in the Supportive Housing Program.
Provide client-driven, trauma-informed case management and service coordination to clients living in transitional housing.
Offer clients empowerment-based skill building necessary to achieve self-sufficiency.
Develop contacts with public and private agencies that provide essential services.
to be successful in this role, WE’LL need YOU to
Minimum of B.S. in Social Work or related field or equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience providing direct service advocacy or case management services required.
Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, and child abuse required; familiarity with risk assessment and safety planning required.
Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required. This position will conduct regular home visits and community-based services.
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well as submit to a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.

how WE’LL make it worth YOUR while
We will pay you annual salary of $32,000 - $35,000.
We’ll pay for your medical, life and short-term disability insurance.
We will give you 15 accrued paid time off days in the first year, and 22 days in the second year, capping out at 30 days after year seven.
We’ll pay you for our six agency holidays and four additional personal holidays to be used at your discretion.
We’ll contribute 2% to your 403(b) retirement, and we’ll kick in an additional 1% if you agree to match it.
We understand that you have commitments outside of the workplace, and we’ll do our very best to offer you some flexibility in your work schedule.
All SAFE employees are eligible to enroll their children in our Trauma-Informed Early Childhood Program (ages 3 months to 5 years, space permitting). Priority is given to full-time employees.
