what WE need YOU to do for us

We need you to fill the role of Health Services Intern. This is an unpaid internship. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Process medical request documents, doctor visit forms, and electronic medical records.
  • Reviews medication administration sheets for accuracy on an ongoing basis.
  • Obtain consent to enter all youth’s immunizations into Immtrac.
  • Obtain medical records from other medical providers and CPS for client files and continued care.
  • Schedule medical appointments for youths.
  • Order supplies from medical supply company as needed and approved. Maintain medical equipment and an inventory of supplies in the exam room.
  • Communicate and document medication changes.
  • Maintain positive working relationships and communicate with respect toward all youths, staff and volunteers.  Represents the agency positively to the public and others in outside agencies.
  •  Attend meetings as needed and required. Performs other duties as needed and assigned.

to be successful in this role, WE’LL need YOU to

  • Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well as submit to a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
  • Adhere to our Guiding Principles, Mission, Core Competencies and Confidentiality Policy.
  • Must pass a criminal background history check through the Department of Safety, as well as Central Registry.
  • Must submit to and pass random drug and alcohol screens as directed.
  • Must have a negative TB skin test within the last 12 months.
  • Must provide Department of Public Safety proof of driving record acceptable to agency insurers for the past three (3) years. 
  • Must be physically able to perform the job.
