what WE need YOU to do for us

We need you to fill the role of SAFE CARES Director. This is a FULL TIME, EXEMPT position. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • The SAFE CARES Director is responsible for implementing a continuum of services involving multiple SAFE programs to include collaboration, advocacy, response, and engagement for human trafficking survivors.
  • The Director will work within SAFE to directly supervise the advocacy and drop in programs of SAFE CARES, and will work cooperatively with  specialized  foster care  program for commercially sexually exploited children
  • All aspects of grant oversight, program planning, implementation and evaluation will be included in this position for advocacy and drop in. 
  • Represents SAFE on community task forces, working groups,  and multi-disciplinary teams related to Human Trafficking, as well as maintains SAFE’s leadership by driving vision and purpose, all the while maintaining a survivor focused agenda
  • Trains, supervises, and evaluates program staff, specifically advocates and case-managers and works in concert with Director of Therapeutic Services to supervise therapists working within SAFE CARES.  Values differences in the hiring process and instills trust within all programs of SAFE .  Has authority to hire and fire staff in consultation with the Senior Director of Residential Services on Manor Campus.
  • Ensures program compliance with various funding requirements and is responsible for the management of related grants and contracts.


to be successful in this role, WE’LL need YOU to

  • Possess a Masters Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred
  • Five years of managing a program and governmental grants
  • Four years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience in design and development of complex social service programs
  • Knowledge of and experience with federal funding and grant management
  • Knowledge of issues and systems related to human trafficking, sexual violence and child abuse
  • Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well as submit to a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.
  • Adhere to our Guiding Principles, Mission, Core Competencies and Confidentiality Policy.


how WE’LL make it worth YOUR while

  • We will pay you an annual salary of 48,000.
  • We’ll pay for your medical, life and short-term disability insurance.
  • We will give you 15 accrued paid time off days in the first year, and 22 days in the second year, capping out at 30 days after year seven.
  • We’ll pay you for our six agency holidays and four additional personal holidays to be used at your discretion.
  • We’ll contribute 2% to your 403(b) retirement, and we’ll kick in an additional 1% if you agree to match it.
  • We understand that you have commitments outside of the workplace, and we’ll do our very best to offer you some flexibility in your work schedule.
  • We’ll offer you discounted day care for your kiddos at one of our two onsite day care centers, as enrollment allows.
