what WE need YOU to do for us
We need you to fill the role of SAFEline Advocate. This is a PART-TIME, NON-EXEMPT position. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:
Work primarily on hotline, providing back-up support as needed to chatline and textline
Facilitate connection to SAFE programs
Crisis Intervention and referrals
Coordinate shelter admissions
Provide emotional support to survivors of sexual and domestic violence, stalking, child abuse and human trafficking/exploitation
Safety planning/Lethality Assessment
to be successful in this role, WE’LL need YOU to
Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or related field, or sufficient relevant work or volunteer experience in lieu of degree
1-2 years crisis intervention experience preferred
English/Spanish bilingual preferred
Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well as submit to a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.

how WE’LL make it worth YOUR while
We will pay you an hourly rate of between $15-$16/hr.
We’ll pay for your medical, life and short-term disability insurance, if eligible.
We’ll pay you for our six agency holidays and four additional personal holidays to be used at your discretion. Pro-rated to position if not a full time employee.
We understand that you have commitments outside of the workplace, and we’ll do our very best to offer you some flexibility in your work schedule.

All SAFE employees are eligible to enroll their children in our Trauma-Informed Early Childhood Program (ages 3 months to 5 years, space permitting). Priority is given to full-time employees.
