what WE need YOU to do for us
We need you to fill the role of IT Support Specialist. This is a full time, non-exempt position. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:
Demonstrate tech savviness through maintaining the network and its components, configuring and troubleshooting printers and IP phones, and maintaining system integrity by managing data and system back up and security as well as user access.
Employ resourcefulness when maintaining inventory, and overseeing routine maintenance of computer hardware.
Be customer-focused, respond quickly and with a positive, problem-solving attitude when providing technical support to staff. Complete IT tasks in a timely and efficient manner while respecting the needs and capabilities of agency staff and clients.
Work as a team member, providing support as well as constructive feedback in interpersonal interaction.
Ensure compliance and display a high level of resilience when coordinating across all departments and externally to ensure employee and agency compliance with legislative, contractual and organizational regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
Effectively work to cultivate relationships at all levels of the organization and value differences when working with various stakeholders and responding to cross-agency needs.
Actively endorse nimble learning as a problem solving approach when tacking new challenges and problems using both successes and failures as opportunities to learn.
Be consistently above board, beyond reproach, use sensitivity and tact, and be trustworthy when handling confidential information.

Utilize outstanding interpersonal skills when communicating with staff, and when serving as an agency liaison with outside vendors of computer, network, broadband and back-up systems to ensure that agency requirements are met.

to be successful in this role, WE’LL need YOU to
Have a minimum of one year of relevant computer experience, preferably in a non-profit, human service environment (more experience preferred).
Possess a relevant degree from and accredited College or University (preferred).
Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot problems where a solution isn’t immediately evident.
Be able to install and troubleshoot Windows 7 and 10 in a production environment.
Understand Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and IIS (preferred).
Understand Cisco IP phones and experience with Jabber (preferred).
Have experience with Meraki network hardware (preferred).
Have experience with corporate anti-virus solutions (preferred).
Pass all required criminal history background checks (including an FBI fingerprint check), as well as submit to a pre-employment drug screen and TB test.

how WE’LL make it worth YOUR while
We will pay you an hourly salary of $18-20/hour.
We’ll pay for your medical, life and short-term disability insurance, if eligible.
We will give you 15 accrued paid time off days in the first year, and 22 days in the second year, capping out at 30 days after year seven, if eligible.
We’ll pay you for our six agency holidays and four additional personal holidays to be used at your discretion.
We’ll contribute 2% to your 403(b) retirement, and we’ll kick in an additional 1% if you agree to match it, if eligible.
We understand that you have commitments outside of the workplace, and we’ll do our very best to offer you some flexibility in your work schedule.
All SAFE employees are eligible to enroll their children in our Trauma-Informed Early Childhood Program (ages 3 months to 5 years, space permitting). Priority is given to full-time employees.
